Hitting the Pavement!
How lazy can a person be? You see that top that is blocking--yeah, do you remember last week that it would probably be blocked and seamed by the end of the day--well, it is Monday (about 4 days after the day I finished knitting it) and I am barely blocking it.
Why did I procrastinate? Let me tell you--do you see the top panel--it is the back. I had to add a second ball to the back (to the front too but it is not so noticeable) look at the top panel closely--can you see it--can you see the defined horizontal line, yep, that is the place where I added the other skein. In my eyes, it makes the top un-wearable. It makes me want to pull it all out and knit from the two skeins throughout. The sample is not mine (which makes my knitting look worse), it is going back
to Soysilk but I don't feel comfortable putting together something that I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing--what to do, what to do?
I am going to seam it and suggest to work the two balls of yarn throughout the pattern--rather than adding it at the end like I did. Another thing that we (Hubby and I) noticed last night when I was blocking it out (check the picture) you will be able to see what we noticed. 2 very defined circles in the front--placement--right by the boobie sector! I don't know....if it was mine...would I really wear it?...I should have started knitting from the other end (maybe). I guess these little things is a risk one takes when knitting with variegated yarns.
My knitting and loom knitting are in hiatus right now. I have decided that I need to change my habits just a wee bit and thus I need to focus most of my energy into changing those habits. For an entire week now, I have been exercising: jogging/running, biking, walking and ellipticalling--I need to get my body used to the exercise, once I get used to my routine, I plan on picking up my knitting again...I am hoping that by the end of next month my body starts showing some little changes. My goal is to lose a bit so I can pick up my needles and knit myself a nice winter sweater--a medium size one (not only will it take less yarn but I will be able to finish it faster). Reading Lolly's blog yesterday about her success gave me an extra boost of confidence--I can do it, I can do it! Not only am I changing my couch-potato habits but I am also implementing healthier foods--yeah, I have finally discovered the use for veggies--and I am not talking about french fries! I have also pledged not to buy any other yarn (for personal purposes) until I shed 5lbs...talk about motivation--but if you have any to give away, remember me...it may be months before I can buy any...sigh.
Over the weekend, we had a huge garage sale--I was able to unload tons of baby stuff that we are no longer using. Some odds and ends also went out the door--less clutter around to clean up--yay! I also managed to get rid of my dining room table; an old beat up round oak table with room for 4 people. And to show you how bad I am at planning things-now we are eating on a fold up plastic table. I thought that if I just went Saturday afternoon to pick up a table that they would have it in stock, it turns out they have to order them in and it will take about a week to arrive. So for the next few days we will be eating on our fancy plastic table....next time, remind me to buy the new "x" item first!
Lastly--a picture of our Saturday Sky.
Question: I have seen a lot of little pictures/icons popping out in bloglines right next to the blog name--how does one get a little picture in there?

"Look Mommy, that lady has boobies!" Actually, I don't think the placement of the boob accentuators are that bad. Some people might not even think twice about it. Its a lot more modest than some things I see people wearing!
I'm so proud of you for sticking with it and getting off the couch. I need to do that myself. School starts on Wednesday, so that will have a huge impact on my lifestyle. The dog days of summer will soon be ending for me.
So, keep it up my friend. You can do it! You are my inspiration!

The patterns in the sweater look interesting. If the wearer is small-breasted, the highlights there could be a plus, fooling the eye to make them seem larger. :)
When I first looked at the picture, I thought maybe there were two pockets on the front because of hte way the colors form two sort of rectangular areas at the wasteline.
The pattern on the back looks like three crosses to me. I didn't immediately notice the horizontal line because of that.
I guess it's all in your perception -- like that thing where some people see the lady and some see the wine glass. :)
I'm not a big fan of varigated yarn for shirts anyway. To me, it looks like tie-dye and is way too busy. :)
Love your Saturday Sky picture! Nice use of a glass bowl (I think that's what it is) to give some real interest to the image. :)

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how funny your yarn pooled! I think you should keep it just because what are the odds of something like that happening ever again!!!
I know what you mean about the exercising--I've gained 20 pounds since I started knitting! I love doing it, but it's not exactly athletic, is it! Lolly is a great inspiration. Makes me want to exercise more too!
Am I #2000!? :) Pick me, pick me!

Oh, the guilt!! I'm reading your blog right now while munching on a M&M cookie. For shame!
I admire your willpower.

You CAN do it! Go Isela!

Yeah, that yarn is pooling in a rather odd manner. Leave it to a GUY to notice the boobie thing. You may be right about alternating the skeins. The top is a great design though.
I don't have your resolve when it comes to yarn or exercise. However, like it or not I have to walk WAY downhill to get to all my classes and WAY UPHILL to get back to my car. That will be my daily exercise as I am attending 4 days a week. Of course, the desire to go buy a big carton of Cold Stone Ice cream is really hard to fend off.

Do your comments allow links?? On my old blog I used this (http://photomatt.net/2003/11/13/how-to-create-a-favicon/) site and this (http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/) one to create and plug in my image. It's called a favicon apparently. I've been meaning to do it with the new blog but haven't gotten around to it; seems WordPress has stuck something in there anyway but I don't like it.
