Sinus_allergy

Maybe it is not a cold after all. Never had allergies but I have all those symptoms--the sneezing and watery eyes are the worst. Acck! Awful nasties!

Both of my kids have multiple allergies - I discovered them the same way - they had constant runny noses, itchy eyes, sneezing, etc., that lasted for months. They both also have asthma, and my daughter has eczema as well, so they're on a whole host of medications. They both take Singulair (prescription tablets) for the allergies/asthma, and it's great stuff. It's helped both of them a lot.

When we moved to a dryer climate we hoped I wouldn't have allergies as bad but guess what...they are worse...I am taking a prescription "allegra" right now and boy does that help...if you take an over the counter allergy reducer in the morning with breakfast you should feel the difference within an hour or less...if it helps you continue to take them or see a doctor to see how severe the allergies are. Our doctor said I am allergic to the sun (wonderful for living in California) in addition to a lot of the 'garbage' in the air.

Take care...Ruth

Red Air Days. Have you been out in them much? Even if the past few days have been pretty good they really hit us in our eyes the most. Grainy, itchy, watery and just sore, headaches etc. Those red air days are nasty and I think they hang on and don't leave your body as quick as they leave the mountains. The past few weeks we had some of the worst air in the nation. No wonder most of the valley is sick.

Been working with mohair much? I know I always got those itchy eyes with that Lamb's pride. I think it's why I didn't get much into felting like everyone else did. I'm working with some sockyarn that has mohair in it for a shawl and I can feel the itchies with it too.
