Sleepless in Utah
Little Benny has been sick since last Friday which means one thing for everyone in the house: no sleep! The no sleep unfortunately turns us all into crabby monsters. Today, I woke up tired, crabby, sleepy and frankly I was ready to throw in the towel so into the doctor's we went. Thankfully they had an opening at 9:20am which gave us enough time to get Wonderboy to school and then into the doctor's.
The verdict: Little Benny has ear infections (on both ears) right one not so bad but the left one is about to go pop! Uggh, just what I feared. No wonder she has been so crabby and crying non-stop for days.
We got medicine and now we just need to wait it out and hopefully it will start working by tonight...maybe tonight we can all get a good night's sleep.
Zzzzzzzzzzz

Feel better little Princess! Ask Mommie for ice cream. She will give it to you because you are sick, and she wants you to feel better.
I remember those days. Not fun. I hate when babies are sick. :(
My oldest had so many ear infections that he had to get tubes in his ears. After the tubes (3 sets) he never had another ear infection, so it worked for him.
Huggz!

Oh my, not the best Dr's report, but much better than others. How about a warm rice pack to lie on? You know the old dry rice in a sock (or sack or fabric bag) gently warmed in the microwave to soothe the side of wondergirl's head. It might help. Just don't micro for too long.
Sweet dreams, family.
Get well soon.

I had a lot of ear infections when I a kid, and they were definitely miserable. Interestingly, my son has only had one ear infection, and I don't remember my daughter having any. My dad used to have this stuff called sweet oil, that was safe to put in the ear (a few drops) and that helped ease the pain somewhat. I have no idea if that's even the real name, or if the stuff is still for sale/OK to use.
I hope she feels better soon.

I so sympathize :) My Annie has been running a fever for a few days now. And clingy all day and cranky through the night. She's cutting 3 teeth right now so I think that is the problem. Poor Benny. I hope she feels better soon. Hugs all around :)
