Hello! I've been knitting with the regular green knifty knitter and was wondering how much of a difference the new purple round one makes. I'd love to be able to knit a hat using just one strand of regular yarn (not the thick yarns) and get smaller stitches, but a few patterns I've seen from people using the purple round indicate they still use 2 strands, or 1 strand of thick. What is your opinion of the new one?

Love it! Just bought it. :)
